Journal Writing: May 2020
Journals can be kept in a notebook, on blank paper, or in Google Classroom. When students write in Google Classroom, I will read over their journal and write comments back.
Below, you will find learning videos about the different kinds of journal writing. I would invite your child to watch one video each day to learn about different ideas for writing in their journal. More videos will be uploaded over the next few weeks.

From Mr. Albano's Journal I have a busy day planned. I will be making videos for my students, answering emails, and having a Google Meet with my class this afternoon. I am excited about the Google Meet! I miss my class, and it will be nice to see some of their smiling faces. |
From Mr. Albano's Journal I am grateful for my family: my father, my mother, my brother Vinny, my sister-in-law Nicole, and my nephew Julian. Right now, I am grateful for the hazelnut coffee I am drinking. It is delicious and has put a smile on my face this morning! |
🎬 Problem/Solution Watch this video to learn how we use writing to think about problems and think of solutions. |
From Mr. Albano's Journal I have a problem right now. I have been home for the last seven weeks, and I am teaching 2nd grade from my desk at home. I feel like I've been sitting way too much. |
